On July 17, WEX, a U.S.-based provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, announced the completion of system integrations with three charging operators: Greenlane, Synop, and QuickCharge by Integra Energy. This integration expands WEX’s commercial EV fleet charging network to over 900 stations across North America and Europe, while supporting a unified payment mechanism through the WEX EV En Route platform to simplify fleet charging processes and operational management.

Sarah Booth, Senior Director of EV and Connected Fleet at WEX, stated that fleet electrification requires a charging experience as seamless and dependable as traditional refueling. The integration strengthens WEX’s ability to provide charging services within fleet operational areas, offering unified payment solutions, operational data insights, and network access to help fleets complete charging operations smoothly at any location.

Three Platform Integrations Expand Charging Network Coverage

Greenlane currently operates a commercial vehicle charging hub in Colton, California, featuring over 40 high-power fast chargers designed for medium- and heavy-duty EVs. Greenlane plans to expand its network to Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. Through the integration with WEX, fleet operators can access Greenlane’s charging locations via the WEX EV En Route network and use existing WEX payment tools for settlement.

Raj Jhaveri, Greenlane CTO, noted that for fleet operators managing dynamic freight networks, inadequate charging infrastructure has become one of the primary barriers to scaling. He said, "Through integration with WEX EV, fleet operators can access Greenlane’s growing network of high-power charging locations using payment solutions they already trust, effectively addressing charging accessibility challenges."

Synop provides EV charging software and an energy management platform, currently supporting over 900 commercial charging depots across North America and Europe. Gagan Dhillon, CEO and co-founder of Synop, stated that fleet operators need a single ecosystem that integrates infrastructure, energy management, and driver experiences. He added, "This integration with WEX EV will make it easier for fleets to access charging resources, manage costs, and scale electrification programs."

QuickCharge by Integra Energy offers a cloud-based EV charging software platform with features such as real-time charger status monitoring, diagnostics, payment integrations, and enterprise fleet management tools. Through the integration with WEX, fleet drivers can charge at participating QuickCharge locations using WEX payment credentials without needing to download additional apps or create new accounts. Max Schynoll, Product Development Manager at QuickCharge, said, "This integration simplifies the charging process for commercial drivers and gives fleet operators greater confidence in charging accessibility without additional apps or operational complexity."

Growing Demand for Charging Network Integration Driven by Commercial Fleet Electrification

As the scale of medium- and heavy-duty EV fleets continues to grow, unified charging and payment solutions have become key to improving operational efficiency. Through integrations with Greenlane, Synop, and QuickCharge, WEX has further solidified its leadership in the commercial fleet charging market. This collaboration not only expands the coverage of the charging network but also reduces management complexity for fleet operators through unified payment mechanisms, providing more robust infrastructure support for electrification.

As reported by Charged EVs, WEX’s integration of these three charging operators has further enhanced the service scope and functionality of its EV charging network.
