Integrating Diverse Energy Data to Streamline Fleet Management

Teletrac Navman officially launched Energy Hub, a new feature within its TN360 fleet management platform, on August 3. Designed for mixed fleets, Energy Hub consolidates electric vehicle charging data with traditional fuel consumption information into a single platform. The feature aims to address the data fragmentation businesses face when managing fleets that include both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, providing real-time monitoring and analytical tools.

Energy Hub integrates multi-source data through the TN360 platform, including vehicle battery state of charge (SoC), estimated remaining range, charging events, fuel transaction records, and public charging infrastructure locations. Businesses can view fleet-wide energy consumption, transaction volumes, cost per kilowatt-hour, and overall expenditure on a single dashboard. Customizable alerts are also supported to detect overcharging, unusual fuel transactions, or inefficient charging behavior. Teletrac Navman stated that the feature’s exception-based reporting mechanism helps managers quickly identify operational anomalies and enhance decision-making efficiency.

Real-Time Monitoring and Cost Analysis to Improve Operational Efficiency

Energy Hub provides real-time data covering vehicle battery health, charging progress, and estimated remaining range, enabling managers to dynamically adjust fleet dispatching. The platform supports trend analysis to help businesses evaluate energy usage efficiency and uses a map interface to locate public charging infrastructure, optimizing charging strategies. Alain Samaha, CEO of Teletrac Navman, noted that the challenge in energy management has shifted from merely collecting data to integrating and applying it. Energy Hub reduces fragmentation through a unified interface, empowering businesses to make data-driven decisions.

During the transition to electrification, mixed fleets must simultaneously monitor fuel card systems and diverse charging sources, such as home, depot, and public charging networks, which often leads to information dispersion. Energy Hub consolidates these data streams into a single platform, reducing the time and cost of switching between systems. The platform also supports customizable alerts, such as notifying managers when a vehicle charges at unexpected times or locations, preventing potential energy waste or fraud risks.

Teletrac Navman emphasized that Energy Hub is suitable for mixed fleets of all sizes, including logistics, rental, and public service sectors. The platform’s open design allows for future integration with third-party charging networks or fuel card systems, further expanding its application scope. As global fleet electrification continues to rise, such integrated tools will become essential for businesses seeking to reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency.
