Taiwan's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure has entered a new phase. TAIL Power (TAIL) today announced the official launch of its 'Charging Anywhere' plan, integrating 143 charging stations and 420 charging guns across the island. Through cross-operator collaborations, the plan allows EV owners to complete charging via a single interface, addressing the 'interface anxiety' caused by repeatedly switching between different apps. To date, the plan has attracted over 100,000 members, covering up to 80% of Taiwan's CCS EV owners.

TAIL Power noted that as the EV market becomes more widespread, the focus of EV owners' charging experience has shifted from 'having a station to charge at' to 'convenient charging.' In the past, EV owners often faced the hassle of registering, logging in, and paying separately on different operator platforms, increasing their digital operational burden. To address this, TAIL Power introduced the 'Charging Anywhere' plan, which integrates systems to allow EV owners to view and use charging stations from partner operators on the TAIL platform, achieving an intuitive 'see and charge' experience.

In terms of partnerships, TAIL Power has deepened its collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, becoming an exclusive operator within Taiwan's Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem. Mercedes-Benz owners can directly activate TAIL Power charging stations through the 'Mercedes-Benz Pass' app and enjoy a 30% discount on charging for three years from the date of vehicle registration. Additionally, TAIL Power has partnered with Goshare Leasing to launch a simplified charging service for rental and business customers. Through 'plug-and-charge' and consolidated billing features, the service streamlines the charging process for rental car users.

TAIL Power emphasized that the core competitiveness of future charging networks will lie in 'interconnectivity and sharing.' To this end, TAIL Power has initiated cross-network roaming technical collaborations, with plans to complete its strategic layout by 2026, realizing the vision of 'charge wherever you go.' Currently, TAIL Power's 143 charging stations across Taiwan have become a vital part of the island's EV charging network. The company continues to expand its partner network to lower the digital operational threshold for EV owners.

According to TAIL Power's observations, Taiwan's EV market is growing steadily, and the development focus of charging infrastructure has shifted from early-stage station proliferation to user experience optimization. However, the specific list of partner operators and technical details of the 'Charging Anywhere' plan have yet to be disclosed, and the actual coverage and convenience of cross-network roaming remain to be verified in the future.
