Regulatory Filings Reveal Denza N8 SUV Specifications
Denza, the luxury brand under BYD, has had its new all-electric SUV, the N8, appear in recent regulatory filings, unveiling several key specifications. The vehicle measures 5,150 mm in length and 1,820 mm in height, closely matching the 5,050 mm length of the Range Rover Sport SV, positioning it as a large luxury SUV. The powertrain offers three configurations: an entry-level rear-wheel-drive single motor with a maximum output of 320 kW, a high-end rear-wheel-drive version upgraded to 370 kW, and a top-tier tri-motor setup delivering a combined output of 890 kW.
In terms of battery options, the N8 SUV will be available with two lithium iron phosphate Blade Battery packs: a 105.8 kWh version providing a CLTC range of 840 km, and a 130.2 kWh version extending the range to 1,003 km. The filings indicate the vehicle will feature 1,500 kW Flash Charging technology, enabling a charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. Additionally, the N8 SUV will be equipped with LiDAR sensors to support advanced driver-assistance systems.
Charging Technology and Market Positioning
Denza’s N8 SUV incorporates Flash Charging technology, unveiled by BYD in March 2026, with its 1,500 kW charging capacity making it one of the fastest-charging electric vehicles on the market. For the 130.2 kWh battery version, the CLTC range reaches 1,003 km, with an estimated WLTP range exceeding 700 km. The 105.8 kWh version is projected to deliver approximately 600 km under the WLTP standard.
