Xiter New Energy reported consolidated revenue of NT$7.274 billion for the first half of 2026, a year-on-year surge of 1,508%, marking the highest figure in the company's history. General Manager Chen Boxun stated that the company has successfully entered the North American market and secured significant orders while completing the construction and commissioning of its first energy storage demonstration site in Japan. With its strategic deployments in North America, Southeast Asia, and Japan gradually taking shape, Xiter expects its overseas revenue share to increase further.
Chen noted that Xiter has entered a "Great Maritime Era" of global expansion, leveraging its self-developed GridLink EMS energy management system and a comprehensive production traceability system to become Taiwan's first energy storage brand to obtain Japan's JC-STAR dual certification. This certification not only serves as a critical threshold for entering the Japanese market but also establishes a competitive advantage in high-security application scenarios.

Japanese energy expert Muraya Takashi stated that JC-STAR certification is a core standard in Japan's energy storage market, directly influencing government subsidies, project financing, and grid connection qualifications. Companies that obtain this certification can access high-end application fields such as data centers and gain a dominant position in market competition. In July 2026, Xiter New Energy participated in the "Taiwan-Japan Energy Technology Exchange Seminar" held in Tokyo, engaging in in-depth discussions with experts including Hiroshi Okamoto, former vice president of Tokyo Electric Power Company, to showcase its technical capabilities and market strategy.
Okamoto highlighted that as Japan's AI data centers expand rapidly, fluctuations in power demand are becoming more pronounced. Large-scale energy storage systems can effectively stabilize power supply and deeply integrate with regional renewable energy sources. When grid congestion occurs, these systems can store electricity in advance and release it during peak demand, reducing the need for infrastructure investments in grid expansion. Zhang Jiecheng, vice general manager of subsidiary Chenxi Precision, stated that the company has established a comprehensive production traceability system, combining its self-designed battery management system (BMS) with the logistical advantages of Taichung Port to ensure product quality and delivery efficiency meet Japan's high standards.
Professor Ishii Hideo of Waseda University emphasized at the seminar that cybersecurity risks in smart grids cannot be overlooked. A hacked system could trigger large-scale blackouts, compromising grid stability. He noted that cybersecurity and international standards are the foundation for ensuring the stable operation of virtual power plants (VPPs) and are key to maintaining grid resilience.
