Strong Financial Performance with Revenue and Profit Growth
Cloud Leopard Energy held a board meeting on August 11 to approve its financial report for the second quarter of 2026. For the first half of the year, the company reported consolidated revenue of NT$3.498 billion, with operating gross profit reaching NT$570 million, a 67% year-on-year increase. Operating profit rose to NT$109 million, a 195% year-on-year surge, while gross margin climbed to 16.3%, up 6.8 percentage points from the same period last year, demonstrating a continued improvement in the company’s core profitability.
Green power trading and energy storage engineering were the primary drivers of Cloud Leopard Energy’s revenue growth in the first half of the year. Revenue from green power trading totaled NT$1.73 billion, a 58% year-on-year increase, accounting for 49% of total revenue. Its subsidiary, Tianneng Green Energy, supplied 305 million kilowatt-hours of green power in the first half, exceeding 70% of its full-year 2025 total of 420 million kilowatt-hours, reflecting the rising demand for corporate green power.
Energy Storage Engineering and Overseas Expansion Accelerate, with Japan and Australia as Key Growth Markets
Revenue from energy storage engineering also grew, reaching NT$817 million in the first half, or 23% of total revenue. Cloud Leopard Energy’s subsidiary, Taipower Energy, completed the grid connection of 13 energy storage projects in Japan, while the Australian market began contributing revenue in July. Overall, overseas revenue reached NT$860 million, representing 24.6% of total revenue, with Japan as the primary contributor, followed by gains in Southeast Asian markets such as the Philippines and Vietnam.
Cloud Leopard Energy General Manager Zhao Shumin stated that the company’s two core businesses—energy storage and green power—are progressing as planned this year. The company expects that the expansion of overseas energy storage projects and corporate green power supply in the second half will continue to bolster revenue and profitability. Recently, Cloud Leopard Energy completed the acquisition of a solar power asset portfolio in Taiwan from BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), with a total installed capacity of 187 MW, further expanding its renewable energy asset scale.
Expanding into AI Infrastructure to Integrate Energy and Computing Power
Cloud Leopard Energy is actively expanding into AI infrastructure, establishing “Cloud Leopard Supercomputing” to enter the AI data center (AIDC) sector. The company plans to integrate its existing capabilities in solar power, energy storage, green power, solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), and energy management, extending its business from energy generation, storage, and sales to AI computing infrastructure, thereby broadening its energy and computing-related operations.
While the company has made significant progress in green power trading, energy storage engineering, and overseas markets, some key details remain undisclosed. For instance, the specific installed capacity of the 13 energy storage projects in Japan, the exact revenue contribution from the Australian market, and the transaction amount for the acquisition of GIP’s solar power asset portfolio have not been publicly released. Additionally, the establishment timeline, investment scale, and expected benefits of “Cloud Leopard Supercomputing” await further clarification from the company to allow external assessment of its long-term impact on development.
