Revenue Hits Record High as Xiter Expands into Three Major Overseas Markets
Xiter New Energy reported consolidated revenue of NT$7.274 billion for the first half of 2026, a staggering 1,508% increase compared to the same period last year, setting a new historical high. General Manager Chen Boxun stated that the revenue growth was primarily driven by the maturation of the company’s cross-border deployments in three major markets: North America, Southeast Asia, and Japan. Xiter has officially entered the "Age of Great Navigation." Chen noted that the company successfully established a presence in the North American market and secured orders in the first half of the year, expecting the proportion of overseas revenue to continue rising.
Xiter has also become Taiwan’s first energy storage brand to obtain Japan’s JC-STAR dual certification, covering both its energy storage systems and its self-developed GridLink EMS energy management system. The company’s first demonstration site in Japan officially went live on July 1, laying the foundation for its expansion into the Japanese market.
JC-STAR Certification Serves as Gateway to Japan’s Energy Storage Market
Japanese energy expert Muraya Takashi emphasized that JC-STAR certification is a critical threshold for entering Japan’s energy storage market, directly impacting eligibility for government subsidies, project financing, and grid connection. The certification is also a prerequisite for accessing high-security-demand applications such as data centers. Companies that obtain the certification early are expected to establish a dominant market position.
At the "Taiwan-Japan Energy Technology Exchange Seminar" held on July 27, Hiroshi Okamoto, former Vice President of Tokyo Electric Power Company, highlighted the rapid growth in electricity demand from AI data centers in Japan. Large-scale energy storage systems can effectively manage load fluctuations, enhance power supply stability, and deeply integrate with regional renewable energy sources. Okamoto stressed that energy storage systems can store electricity during grid congestion and release it during peak demand, reducing the need for grid expansion.
