Self-Propelled Design Addresses Traditional Trailer Range Challenges
Headquartered in California, Pebble specializes in developing the electric camping trailer, Pebble Flow. The product's standout feature is its self-propelled system, equipped with an integrated battery that can be recharged through regenerative braking and multiple charging methods. This design aims to resolve the range reduction issues commonly associated with towing traditional trailers. Bingrui Yang, founder and CEO of Pebble, stated that the Pebble Flow is engineered to eliminate charging concerns during long-distance travel while reducing dependence on towing vehicles.
On August 5, Pebble released its latest data, revealing that owners of the first 100+ delivered Pebble Flow units have collectively traveled over 250,000 miles (approximately 400,000 kilometers). This real-world road data not only validates the product's reliability but also serves as a critical foundation for future enhancements. Yang emphasized, "Every mile traveled helps us refine the Pebble Flow, and future customers will benefit from these improvements."
OTA Updates Accelerate Product Iteration
Pebble recently introduced two new features to Pebble Flow owners via over-the-air (OTA) updates, with improvements primarily driven by user feedback. Stefan Solyom, CTO of Pebble, noted that the company integrates hardware and software development within a single team—a rarity in the recreational vehicle industry. This approach enables rapid issue resolution and optimization.
