Subscription Plans Offer Weekend Charging Rates as Low as NT$5.25 per kWh

EVOASIS, an electric vehicle charging service provider, announced the launch of its 'Weekend Charging Super Cheap' campaign, running from July 18 to August 30. The promotion offers discounted weekend charging rates at all EVOASIS Star Charging stations across Taiwan for subscribers. Under the NT$688 monthly plan, weekend charging rates drop to as low as NT$5.25 per kWh, while the NT$88 monthly plan offers NT$6.3 per kWh. During the campaign, non-subscribers will be charged a standard weekend rate of NT$8.4 per kWh. Subscribers can also stack additional discounts through credit card partnerships and stored-value rebates.

EVOASIS stated that the promotion primarily targets high-mileage drivers, such as those who frequently travel between cities, take weekend trips, or use their vehicles for business. The more electricity charged, the greater the cost savings. For example, under the NT$688 monthly plan, the NT$5.25 per kWh weekend rate represents a saving of NT$3.15 per kWh compared to the standard rate of NT$8.4. For a single charge of 50 kWh, this translates to a saving of NT$157.5, with long-term cost differences becoming even more significant.

Over 60% of Active Users Are Tesla Owners, Membership Exceeds 180,000

EVOASIS observed that more than 60% of its active platform users are Tesla owners. As Tesla continues to dominate Taiwan’s electric vehicle market, an increasing number of drivers have developed the habit of using cross-brand charging networks. Instead of relying on a single charging provider, they now choose stations based on price, convenience, and travel needs.

EVOASIS’s membership has surpassed 180,000, exceeding the total number of registered electric vehicles in Taiwan. The company noted that as the electric vehicle market grows, competition in charging services is no longer solely about price. Factors such as station coverage, charging efficiency, and user experience are becoming critical considerations for drivers when selecting a service.

Station Network Expands to Highways and Residential Areas

In recent years, EVOASIS has continued to expand its station network, now operating the largest charging network in Taiwan. Stations are strategically located near highway interchanges, major thoroughfares, and residential areas. Most stations are standalone, allowing drivers to charge without incurring additional parking fees, further reducing usage costs. The company emphasized that station coverage and charging convenience have become key competitive metrics. When choosing a charging service, drivers now consider not only the price per kWh but also the ease of locating a station and completing a charge along their route.

As the first charging station operator in Taiwan to be listed on the Emerging Stock Board, EVOASIS believes that competition in charging services will gradually shift from 'price comparison' to 'comparing convenience, efficiency, and experience.' Moving forward, the company plans to continue enhancing its subscription plans, expanding its station network, offering credit card discounts, providing stored-value rebates, and introducing smart charging services to deliver both cost advantages and charging convenience to drivers. This campaign not only reduces charging costs for drivers but may also further stimulate price and service competition in Taiwan’s electric vehicle charging market.
