Partnership Drives Industrialization and Standardization of Automated Charging Technology
Austrian electric vehicle charging technology company Easelink and global automotive component supplier SEG Automotive announced a partnership on July 29 to jointly advance the industrialization and market launch of the Matrix Charging automated conductive charging system. Under the collaboration agreement, SEG Automotive will integrate Matrix Charging technology into its product portfolio and participate in initial original equipment manufacturer (OEM) series production projects, providing customers with integrated solutions.
SEG Automotive also announced its membership in the Matrix Charging Interest Group (MCIG), an organization dedicated to promoting the standardization of Matrix Charging technology. Gunter Meyer, Chief Market Officer for New Business at SEG Automotive, stated that automated charging solutions hold significant potential in the electric vehicle market. The company will support MCIG’s standardization efforts through product development and integration solutions to ensure market acceptance, long-term interoperability, and investment security.
Technical Features and Application Prospects
The Matrix Charging system developed by Easelink employs automated conductive charging technology, enabling the charging process to be completed without human intervention. The system not only enhances charging convenience but also supports a variety of commercial electric vehicle applications, including logistics fleets and shared mobility services. Additionally, Matrix Charging technology facilitates the integration of electric vehicles with smart energy systems such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G), improving energy management efficiency and laying the groundwork for future autonomous mobility solutions.
