Comprehensive Upgrade of Cross-Border Charging Network
European electric vehicle charging service provider Allego announced today that it will migrate its entire network of 35,000 public charge points, 60 roaming partnerships, and over 200,000 registered electric vehicle drivers across 16 European countries to the AMPECO charging management platform (CPMS). This collaboration covers one of Europe’s largest public charging networks. Allego has opted for AMPECO’s hardware-agnostic architecture and real-time diagnostic technology to enhance cross-border operational efficiency and fault-handling capabilities.
Christian Zeh, COO of Allego, stated that AMPECO’s platform maturity, experience in migrating large-scale networks, and ability to rapidly deliver new functionalities were key factors in the partnership. He emphasized that AMPECO’s modern platform will allow Allego to focus on improving the charging experience for drivers rather than maintaining backend technology. Zeh highlighted that this platform migration will bring greater flexibility and stability to Allego’s cross-border operations.
AMPECO Platform’s Technical Advantages Gain Attention
Orlin Radev, CEO of AMPECO, remarked that Allego’s decision reflects the maturity of Europe’s charging market and noted that AMPECO’s role is to “manage platform complexity,” enabling operators to concentrate on network deployment and driver experience. AMPECO’s platform features a hardware-agnostic and API-first design, allowing seamless integration with Allego’s existing operational and enterprise systems while scaling functionalities as needed. The platform’s built-in operations agent, CoOperator, includes fault prediction capabilities that detect anomalies before they impact support teams, providing real-time diagnostics across the entire network. Joost Groeneveld, Director of Network Operations at Allego, noted that AMPECO’s scalable solution enables Allego to focus on enhancing brand competitiveness and meeting the diverse needs of electric vehicle drivers.
